Brunswick Heads is a small and unspoilt village on the NSW north coast, situated at the mouth of the Brunswick River. Boasting a population of 1,800 people.
Traditionally Brunswick Heads enjoys light summer breezes and warm dry winter weather with a short rainy season usually around February/March.
Brunswick Heads is 15 minutes north of Byron Bay and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast. Brunswick Heads is only 30 minutes by car from both Coolangatta and Ballina Airports.
Most things in “Bruns” are within easy walking or cycling distance. A large commercial fishing fleet resides at the Marina, which contributes to the lovely fresh seafood available locally. Brunswick Heads is a great place for fishing, whale watching and dolphins can be sighted regularly from the breakwall. There is never a shortage of markets in Brunswick Heads and its neighbouring towns – especially Byron Bay. Brunswick Heads hosts a variety of community events including the annual Woodchop Festival, Old and Gold Festival, Family Triathlon, Mullum to Bruns Paddle and the Kites and Bikes Festival.
